The unit is a 28w CFLD type ballast that provides power to a 4-pin socket. Only live and neutral lines input into the ballast, and 4 wires output to the 4-pin socket that connects the bulb. The bulb is of this type:...

I have a 5x5m garage separate from my house and the walls are battened with 3x2 and then 12mm ply sheets on the walls floor to ceiling.
Now it gets chilly out there so I want to fit a heater.

I have found a panel heater thats you can wall mount but I’m worried about the safety side of it putting it on a wood wall.
from what I can see similar heaters are mounted on summer house walls (all made of wood) and there ok.
Is there anything in the...

The actual chime and transformer is still live and connected to a 6amp lighting breaker by junction box to the light in the same room (front door entrance) The supply enters the switch and then powers the chime.

My question is, can I remove doorbell and replace the switch with a single socket?

This socket that would be above a door frame I understand would not be able to draw more...

There won’t be any additional wiring so it’s just a case of the best way to do the physical wall work.

the base material is breeze block.

I know I need to cut a bigger hole for the wider back box, I’m just not sure on the best way to do it.

there is obviously plastered walls so looking for advice on...

Currently I have an electric oven fed by a 30A radial spur with either 4mm or 6mm cable. I cannot find an isolation switch between the cu and the oven. There is no insulation around any cabling.

Can I add a 7.2kw induction hood to this feed or will I need to run a new spur to it's own fuse.
Thanks?

I've got a Lay-Z-Spa Vegas hot tub that i've had for over 2-3 years, it has now decided to stop heating up.
I took unit apart and found the heater clogged up so ran it through an ultrasonic bath, cleaned it out and run descaler through it.

when attached to the little descaler unit it seems to heat the water up perfectly to 40C but when i reconnect to the hot tub itself it doesn't seem like it wants to heat ive had it running for past few days to see it...
